La Manzanilla Restaurants

La Manzanilla has a nice combination of restaurants serving various types of food. From beachside Palapas you can enjoy freshly made ceviche, seafood omelets, or a rich homemade Mole. More info visitlamanzanilla.com

Dos Higueras Restaurant
The inspired local cuisine of Dos Higueras is carefully prepared to surprise and delight the palate, while adding to your sense of well-being. Dos Higueras will feature full restaurant services specializing in hearty Mexican fare and fresh local seafood. A staple of Boca de Iguanas is the made to order breakfast and a daily one hour evening happy hour; all free of charge to hotel guests.

Artis Lounge Gallery Bar
Located on the south side of the jardín (town square) this small, charming lounge offers a variety of fare including a weekly sushi extravaganza.

Café de Flores
Fresh and tasty food, good service and a rotating art collection make Café de Flores and good choice for a meal. Go for a rooftop table.

Coco Loco
Beachfront restaurant specializing in Italian food.

El Girasol Bistro
Located on the north side of the jardín, this is a gringo favorite, serving organic coffee, wonderful cinnamon rolls, bran muffins, and scrumptious huevos rancheros. Go for the half order of fruit, yogurt and granola and you’ll be set for the morning. You can also enjoy wireless Internet and great satellite radio. There is a message board on the wall were you can find information about events and classes. They are under new ownership so be on the lookout for new events and some cool changes!

La Terraza Quetzal
Enjoy Mexican food with a French influence. This charming restaurant has an extensive menu including seafood, beef, and of course crepes!

Lora Loka
Lora’s is a popular spot located beachside on Maria Asuncion. Its lively proprietress keeps the restaurant interesting. It’s not uncommon to see heated afternoon card games, live music, and even pedicures all taking place at this restaurant. Paella Valenciana and Arroz Español are popular specialty items featured occasionally on the menu.

Martin’s Restaurant
Located on the south end of the beach on Playa Blancas, you’ll enjoy wonderful views of the bay at this restaurant. The food is great, with tasty gourmet meals and a nice breakfast. Watch out for the Margaritas, so wonderful and oh so strong! They often host musical entertainment with room for dancing.

Oasis Restaurant and bar
Located in Villa Obregon this restaurant and bar serves up burgers and great papas fritas (french fries). During the high season look for live music and nightly specials.

Palapa Joe’s
If it’s satellite TV you are looking for, this is the place! Keep in mind it fills up quickly for hot sporting events. They serve up some tasty food and if you are in the mood, you can strut-your-stuff during an Open Mic Night. Located on Maria Asuncion.

Pepe’s Pizza
Even though it’s called Pepe’s Pizza, tortillas share the menu with pizza at this popular restaurant. In the mornings you’ll see a woman making tortillas and filling them with tender pork marinated in a red or green sauce. Vegetarian? Try the Rajitas con Crema, a tasty mixture of onions and peppers in a cream sauce. Located on Maria Asuncion in the main part of town.

Restaurant Maya
The elegant beachfront Restaurant Maya is located in Melaque. Experience the world class culinary creations of Chef Peg Montgomery (formerly of Delilah's, Vancouver, BC Canada) while sipping one of the area's best Martinis. Menus and hours found at www.restaurantmaya.com

Restaurant Rincón
Rincon is a beachside palapa restaurant located a block north of the mangrove on calle Concha Molida. It’s a wonderful place to sample the best Shrimp Ceviche in town (Lonely Planet calls it the best in Mexico!). A half-order may be enough to fill you up. Chase it down with a Cerveza Pacifico, and life is good!

Yolanda’s
Relocated to a lovely beachside location, this is a great place to surf the net with their wireless Internet as you enjoy an evening drink while taking in the sunset. They also host rice table dinners. A rice table (in Dutch, rijsttafel) consists of rice accompanied by 12-20 side dishes served in small portions. It is a Dutch colonial adaptation of the Indonesian dinner. Also highly recommended is the fish and chips - lightly battered and perfectly prepared. A real treat!
